Shipping, Handling, Tax, and Delivery Times
For a detailed list of current shipping and handling prices, taxes, and delivery times, please see our Shipping Terms. These Shipping Terms may be subject to promotions, and may otherwise vary and change from time to time without notice.
Once processed wine orders are perishable like a meal at a restaurant, and each shipment is custom-prepared for each customer and guaranteed by AdventreWines Satisfaction Guarantee. Upon shipping, all sales are final. In the event a shipment is returned to us for any reason, an AdventureWines merchandise credit will be issued. The amount is the amount paid for merchandise plus taxes paid less deductions for any unsaleable condition merchandise, shipping, handling, and any applicable surcharges found in the current shipping pricing, regardless of the amount paid for shipping for the original returned shipment. Merchandise credits are subject to terms and limitations (see terms). We may destroy returned merchandise or restock it, at our discretion.
You must be 21 years old or older and in the United States to make a purchase or use the site(s). By placing an order or using the site(s) you represent to us that you are at least 21 years old. When your wines are delivered, the person receiving delivery will be required to show identification proving that he or she is at least 21 years of age. All offers are void where prohibited by law and void to everyone under 21 years old. Misrepresentation of age in connection with the purchase of alcohol may be punishable by law.
All sales are made through licensed entities and under the authority of applicable licenses. In certain cases, wines are sold in California and title passes to the buyer in California. In such cases, we make no representations to the legal rights of anyone to ship or import alcoholic beverages into any state outside of California. In such cases, the buyer is solely responsible for the shipment of wines. In such cases, by placing an order, the customer authorizes us to act on their behalf in processing this order, including engaging third parties deliver it.
This agreement is governed and construed in accordance with the laws of California. Jurisdiction for any claims arising under this Agreement shall lie exclusively in California.
We hope we never have a dispute, but if we do, we agree to try for 60 days to resolve it informally. If we cannot, you and we agree to binding individual arbitration before the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under the Federal Arbitration Act ("FAA") and not to sue in court in front of a judge or jury. Instead, a neutral arbitrator will decide and the arbitrator's decision will be final except for a limited right of appeal under the FAA. You agree to waive your right to civil suits, class action lawsuits, class-wide arbitration, private attorney-general actions, and other proceedings where someone acts in a representative capacity.
Upon delivery, all shipments including alcohol will require a signature from a person who is at least 21 years old.
Sales taxes may be added to orders where applicable. These rates may vary by destination and item and are finalized at the time of final sale.
Shipping costs for wine within the continental U.S. are applied using the following rates. We select carriers based on how well they care for our customers' wine/spirits shipments, their reliability, and overall speed. We change these selections from time to time. Shipping & Handling rates are subject to change from time to time and may be subject to various promotions.

To cover the cost of alcohol compliance, for all wine shipments to NY, NJ, ME, DC, MA, IN, AZ, TX, KS, MT, DE, RI, GA, FL, MI, CT, NC, NH, OH, SC, VA, VT, WV, PA and IL a charge of $4.00 State Handling fee is applied to the shipment total.
Delivery Times
Wine & Spirits orders shipments are typically on Mondays and Thursdays and make take 1-5 days to be completed. To preserve the quality of the wine, depending on the time of year, shipments to certain destinations are shipped in temperature-controlled trucks and released for the “last mile” of delivery to carriers. For these shipments, delivery times can be longer, and tracking numbers are assigned but may not register during the period of temperature-controlled trucking. We greatly appreciate your patience in trade for the more careful handling of the wine. While transit times can vary for direct-shipped shipments, see the table and map below for expectations.
